Over the last 20 years there has been an explosion in
the prevalence of allergic diseases worldwide. The National Health Service (NHS) in Britain hasn't
enough resources to offer adequate diagnostic services for common allergic illnesses.
The British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) is lobbying
for support, from the UK government and all the role players, to try and improve
essential allergy services.
This website provides an accurate health database on the
common allergic diseases, for both healthcare workers and the general
public. We rely on the press and mass media for support in promoting
allergy awareness and education. This can only be achieved with media
support and appropriate press coverage. We need to propagate a clear
understanding of allergic illnesses with sound evidence-based advice and a uniform
approach to allergy.
Welcome to this Allergy and Allergies Agency
website - our mission is to act as a catalyst for the dissemination of
accurate allergy information. We are an agency committed to helping
both sufferer's and their carer's understand the true nature of allergy.
We have to turn back the tide on this
allergy epidemic with which we are currently overwhelmed.
Enjoy browsing through our website and we
hope you will find the information useful.
